The People’s Alliance for Reproductive Health Advocacy (PARHA), in partnership with the Centre for Accountability and Rule of Law – Sierra Leone (CARL-SL), has convened a significant regional stakeholder engagement meeting to rally support for the “Safe Motherhood and Reproductive Health Care Bill” 2024.
The first of these engagements took place on Monday, July 29, 2024, at the Kenema District Council Hall in Kenema District, gathering a diverse group of influential women, including female traditional leaders, opinion makers, stakeholders, and health professionals from the Eastern Region. This collaborative effort aims to amplify voices advocating for reproductive health rights and maternal care.
Following the successful Eastern Region meeting, the Southern Region engagement occurred the next day, Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at the Bo District Council Hall in Bo District. Both gatherings emphasized the urgent need for comprehensive reproductive health policies and the crucial role women play in advancing these initiatives.
